This is a wild fire I don’t want to be put out

The love we acquire and the love we own
You encourage me to be free to feel
And when I’m injured it shines through
Floodlit night blanket covers the absentee
What I’d give to see through your eyes
I need you to be with me all the time

This is a wild fire I don’t want to be put out

Wondering to see where our feet lead
On top of a hill looking down on the view
See the beauty in the old dusty streets
I call across the mustard sky to you
You are the only image that I need to see
Reflected gently by strength in me

This is a wild fire I don’t want to be put out
